This Privacy Policy is issued by Huzaifa Yasin operating under the trade name “Pane Studio” (“Pane Studio”, “we”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Pane Studio Terms of Service and applies to all individuals or entities installing, accessing, or using the Pane Studio Product (“Client” or “User”).

By using the Product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy and  the Terms of Service.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when users install or interact with pane. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described herein.

1. Information the Application Collects
1.1 Screen Recording Data
The Application enables users to record:

 - Screen and mouse cursor (enabled by default)
 - Webcam video (optional, user-controlled)
 - Microphone audio (optional, user-controlled)
 - System audio (optional, user-controlled)

All recorded media is stored locally on the user’s device and is never transmitted to our servers unless the user explicitly chooses to share, upload, or use future hosting features. At present, we do not offer cloud storage or sharing services, and no recording data leaves the user’s device without explicit consent.

1.2 Telemetry & Diagnostic Data
We collect limited non-personal technical information (when permitted), including:
 - Device specifications (Does not identify user)
 - Application performance metrics
 - Non-identifying crash logs and error data
 - Usage behavior related to performance and stability
This information helps improve reliability, diagnose technical issues, and enhance user support. Telemetry does not include screen content, audio, video, or any sensitive personal information.
Users may disable telemetry and crash reporting at any time in the Application settings. However, doing so may reduce support capabilities and product performance optimization.

Pane Studio directly processes:
   - Account registration data (names, email addresses, company information)
   - IP addresses
   - Support communications and tickets
   - License validation and subscription status
   - Recording metadata
   - Usage analytics (feature usage patterns for blur, highlight, export formats - when permitted)

2. How We Use Information
Collected diagnostic and telemetry data may be used to:
 - Improve functionality, performance, and stability
 - Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues
 - Optimize device-specific experience
 - Analyze product usage trends
 - Prevent abuse or technical misuse

We do not use collected diagnostic data to identify individual users.

3. Data Storage & Security
All recordings and media files remain stored on the user’s local device unless explicitly shared.
No recordings are uploaded, transferred, or processed externally by default.
If future cloud or hosting features are introduced, uploads will require clear and explicit user consent.
Any transmitted diagnostic data is encrypted during transfer.

4. User Control & Consent
Users retain full control over:
   - Whether webcam, microphone, or system audio are included in recordings
   - Whether diagnostic and crash reporting is enabled
   - File storage, deletion, and sharing actions

Users may change permissions or disable optional features at any time in settings.

5. Data Retention
Local recordings remain only on the user’s device until the user deletes them.
Diagnostic and crash logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to analyze issues and improve performance.
If telemetry is disabled, no further technical logs are collected.

6. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share non-personal telemetry data only with:
Service providers assisting with analytics or crash reporting
Legal authorities if required under applicable law or to protect safety
No recorded content is ever shared or transmitted.

7. Children's Privacy
The Application is not intended for individuals under age 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If such information is identified, we will delete it promptly. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at team@screen.studio so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

8. Future Updates
