# Pane Studio auto zoom feature

Pane Studio supports both automatic zoom behavior and manual zoom control for screen recordings on Windows.

## What auto zoom means here

Auto zoom can be enabled before recording. When the take ends, Pane Studio analyzes the finished recording and prepares zoom segments automatically. This gives the user a cleaner first pass before manual polishing starts.

This is useful for beginners because the recording already has guided emphasis around important parts of the screen without requiring the user to animate every zoom by hand.

## Two zoom modes

### Automatic zoom segments

Automatic zoom segments follow the active working area more dynamically. Pane can keep the cursor visible while the zoom follows the action.

### Manual zoom points

Manual zoom points let the user pick a fixed focal point visually from a frame preview. This is useful when a stable zoom matters more than a dynamic follow.

## Zoom controls

- Set zoom scale per segment
- Choose between auto zoom and manual zoom
- Keep the cursor visible in auto mode
- Pick the focal point in manual mode
- Control how strongly auto zoom snaps toward edges
- Use instant zoom when a hard cut is better than a smooth transition
- Disable or remove zoom segments

## Best use cases

- Tutorials
- SaaS product demos
- Onboarding walkthroughs
- Help-center videos
- Recordings where the viewer needs help following clicks, menus, and forms

## Summary

Pane Studio auto zoom is not only a visual effect. It is part of the editing workflow. It can prepare zoom guidance automatically after recording and still lets the user refine the final result with manual control.
