# Pane Studio aspect ratios feature

Pane Studio supports multiple aspect ratios for screen recordings so one recording can be adapted for product demos, tutorials, YouTube, social media, and portrait video formats.

## Supported aspect ratios

- Wide 16:9
- Square 1:1
- Classic 4:3
- Portrait 9:16
- Classic portrait 3:4
- Modern portrait 4:5

## Why this matters

Screen recordings often need to be reused in different places. A wide demo may work on a landing page or YouTube, while a portrait or square version may work better on Instagram, LinkedIn, or mobile-first channels.

Pane Studio lets the user record first and then adapt the result for the final channel instead of rebuilding the edit from scratch.

## Common use cases

- Product demos for landing pages
- Tutorials for YouTube
- Square exports for social posts
- Portrait exports for Reels, Stories, and short-form content
- Tighter classic frames for presentation-style recordings

## Related workflow

Aspect ratios work well with crop, background styling, and custom layouts. That means the user can change the output format while still controlling the visible frame, the background around the recording, and how the webcam and screen appear together.

## Summary

Pane Studio's aspect-ratio support is built for repurposing one screen recording across wide, square, and vertical formats without remaking the project.
